7 Key Business & Marketing strategies to make 2009 your best year ever!

Strategy 5 is  MMM covering Mindset, Masterminds and Mentors

Mindset, Masterminds and Mentors
I’ve grouped these together for two reasons - of course they all start with M but more importantly they are actually all related. And as a group they are often neglected by entrepreneurs and business people with too many things to do.

They are, however, absolutely essential components of successful business growth. Without working on my mindset and having mentors and a mastermind I don’t think I would have achieved the same level of success I have been able to create over the last 4 years.

Mindset
This relates to working on your thoughts and beliefs, and being inspired in everything you do. Even just reading books and listening to relevant audio cd’s can help you learn more about yourself and create a positive mindset. Visit your local bookshop, there are many titles to choose from!

Masterminds
If you’ve read Napoleon Hill’s book ‘Think and Grow Rich’ you will know that a key success principle mentioned within its pages is the value of a mastermind group. A mastermind group is a collective of individuals who meet in person or via telephone regularly and who support, encourage and share with each other.

At the start of 2008 I became part of a small local mastermind group, and throughout the year we met regularly and supported and inspired each other to action and success. This year I am a part of 2 exclusive Mastermind groups and I truly value their contribution to my life.

Mentors
Running your own business can be a very lonely job, and it is necessary to have support, education and inspiration to keep you going. You really do need to continue your learning as your business and the world evolves.

I’ve studied and learnt from Alexandria Brown, Dr John DeMartini, Darryl & Andrew Grant, Tim Paulson, Michael Cage, Rich Schefren, Brett McFall, Fabienne Fredrickson, Alicia Forest, Mal Emery, Dan Kennedy and many more I can’t even remember the names of… I’ve also had a few personal and business coaches along the way.

I’ve found that I have got the most value learning from those that I can truly relate to and that I aspire to. For example, I love to learn from experts who share the same values as me (this is also the case with my mastermind groups).

I aspire to those who value lifestyle, family, wealth and time freedom. And who give before they expect to receive, meaning they truly give value in exchange for the wealth they receive (or create).

Having mentors has been one of the most influential milestones in my business for creating more success. Who are or who will be your Mentors for 2009?
